Scarred For Fashion

Hey everyone, I think I will have a lot of fun and interesting things to share with you about observation and connection to the world of fashion. I have been contemplating on the right time to start my blog for a long time now and have had many emotions which have interfered with my ability to fully pursue this task.

First off I love writing and secondly I love fashion so it was only right for me to start blogging about it. I am planning to bring all the best that I can find to the table and bring it to you. Living in this huge city we call New York gives me plenty of opportunity to explore the best of the best when it come down to the the two main factors. Whats in and whats out.

I am a Self-proclaimed Naturalnista. A naturalnista is a Fashionista who can't help but be naturally fashionable. In the world where personal style has become making yourself look as close as the model in the fashion magazines, the naturalnista understands the importance of staying true and being herself. She can leave the house without makeup or $300 designer jeans and still be fashionably acceptable. She's been scarred, branded to naturally stand out. Her beauty and style is effortless and even when she tries, she can't switch it off.

Now that we got that out of the way, Welcome to my blog!

Fashion week is nearing

Hey Hey Hey

I am so excited about the upcoming fashion week. I know you may be looking at my blog thinking what the hell happened. Yeah about that…… I am in the process of updating and I’ve decided to de-clutter in order to give room to this new season of fashion. I want the best to be here so some things I did not think were so good will be taken off. I am basically starting anew.

The Twin Trunk show was definitely worth attending. With the cocktails and the amazingly cool people, I definitely had a blast

Despite the unlimited amount of drinks, I was still able to function enough to find a few Vintage items I wanted.

Why don’t I have anything to wear?

Don’t you just hate those days that you wake up in the morning to find nothing to wear. If you are a Fashionista this does not exclude you. Actually sometimes it makes it worse because you are so dedicated to looking your best You can’t dare walk out of the house looking a hot mess. What do you do?

4 Steps to help you find something descent to wear

1) Make sure that you are organized meaning your clothes are not all over the place. If you have to do some organizing before you get dressed then by all means get on those hands and knees! You might even find a few nice items you’ve been searching for underneath your bed!

2) Pick out your outfit the night before. It’s always important to be prepared before hand if possible. We never know what will come up at the last minute. God forbid theres a fire and you’re scrambling through your dresser trying to find pants. (Someone has died like this before so don’t make the same mistake).

3) Update your wardrobe with complementary in style items. This ensures that even if you are in a rush, you know you have something that will look good.

4) Throw away unnecessary clothing. I now it’s very hard to let go of vintage and things you’ve had forever, but if these items are not being utilized and have not been for a while, it’s time to give it away. Many people don’t know what to wear because they have to many choices which can be the biggest obstacle.

I know it will take time to break bad habits but If you want to be a true diva in this fashion world, you have to become disciplined! Time to clean up my room!!

The Ulinkx Jewelry launch was such a fun event. I met other fashion bloggers and was treated with manicures and cocktails.
